1st Place and Honorable Mention will be the only prizes for each Category.
ALL Models MUST be submitted to the Painting Contest by 6:00 p.m. Saturday and will be picked up BEFORE 2:00 Sunday. If you need your models back for game purposes, your models will be available for battle by no later than 8:00 pm Saturday Evening.
The S.I.E.G.E. will be hosting Painting Competitions for the following categories:
Warhammer 40k Single Model
Warhammer 40k Unit (Must be a Complete, Game Unit)
Warhammer Fantasy Single Model
Warhammer Fantasy Regiment (Must be a Complete, Game Unit)
Warmachine/Hordes Single Model (non Warjack or Warbeast)
Warmachine/Hordes Single Jack or Warbeast
Warmachine/Hordes - 35 Point Army (Must be a Complete, Legal Army)
Flames of War Infantry Squad - Infantry or Vehicle (Complete, Game Legal Platoon/Squad/Unit)
Flames of War Vehicle Squad - Tank or Other - (Complete, Game Legal Platoon/Squad/Unit)
Flames of War Single Tank or other Vehicle
Lord of the Rings Single Model
Open Category - This category is for ALL Miniatures that DO NOT Fit within the other categories listed above. - Any model may be entered (Ral Partha, Mordheim, Re-painted Clix, etc) If you are unsure, just send us an email and we will respond ASAP.
Dioramas and units may also be entered but MUST all be on a single base/platform and should NOT exceed a square foot in diameter/length. Best Overall - This will be the best painted miniature from ALL of the above categories.
Model Painting RULES
#1 No Innapropriate Models will be allowed into the competition. These models will be on display in front of families, children, etc. Please keep this in mind. All models are subject to the judges opinion and will not be accepted into the competition if we feel that the model is profane, vulgar, etc.
#2 Be Honest! Anyone submitting a model that has not been painted by themselves will be disqualified from this and any other S.I.E.G.E. or Dicehead Games painting event for an indefinite amount of time.
#3 Painting scores will be based on the following topics: General Appearance, Details, Shading/Blending Techniques, Materials Used, Conversions and Basing.
